Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Kissimmee, FL, Ms. Cartagena Ruiz brings a culturally informed and client-focused perspective to her practice.
Ms. Cartagena Ruiz earned her Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law, where she was a part of the award-winning Mercer Advocacy Council as a member of the Arbitration and Mock Trial Teams as well as a Moot Court Student Coach. She is admitted to practice in Florida’s state and federal district courts.
Before joining Messer Strickler Burnette, Ms. Cartagena Ruiz previously served as a Legal Extern with Aflac Inc. and the Coca-Cola Company, assisting in-house counsel across multiple departments.
