Senior Associate
Katherine M. Olson leads the Firm’s Kansas City, Kansas office, bringing the benefits of MSB’s expertise to businesses throughout the Midwest. Ms. Olson’s practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on defendant claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Ms. Olson is admitted to practice in state and federal district court in Kansas, Missouri and Illinois, and in federal district courts in Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. Ms. Olson is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits.
As a talented writer, Ms. Olson plays a pivotal role in the Firm’s high-stakes post-trial and appellate advocacy practice, and has obtained successful results for the Firm’s clients in both state and federal courts. Ms. Olson also provides compliance support to her financial services clients, where her attention to detail gives her clients the nuanced advice necessary to succeed in today’s financial climate. She is an instrumental member of the Firm’s trial teams, and has successfully served as both first- and second-chair in courts across the country.
