With more than 20 years of experience representing local, state and national clients in complex civil litigation, Ms. Coleman has a proven track record of successfully representing her clients in lawsuits across all federal and state levels. Ms. Coleman understands the importance of providing robust representation in litigation while simultaneously working to reduce future risk. A long-time California practitioner, the Firm’s clients turn to Ms. Coleman for high caliber representation and advice for the unique issues faced by California businesses.
Ms. Coleman also has experience defending a variety of professional liability matters, including legal malpractice actions and grievances filed before the California State Bar. She is admitted to practice in state, federal and appellate courts in California.
Ms. Coleman focuses her practice on defense of claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, California’s Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, California’s Consumer Credit Reporting Agency Act, California’s Unfair Business Practices Act, and California’s state recording laws. She is an accomplished author and frequent presenter on these topics, as well as regulatory issues arising from the Consumer Financial Protection Act and various courts’ interpretations of these laws. She regularly provides continuing legal education classes and training for her clients, and assists them in compliance matters to minimize their risk profiles.
